Situated in the centre of Uppingham, a pretty market town in the UKs smallest county, Lake Isle is surrounded by the beautiful Rutland countryside.There are a huge range of activities to enjoy in the area. Leicester’s lively city centre is not far away, and we are easily accessible from both the M1 and A1.
Named after the WB Yeats poem, our Grade II listed 17th-century hotel and restaurant is in the oldest part of the town and has a history dating back to the 1700’s.

Our 2 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant has a reputation for quality and creativity, using only the best, locally sourced ingredients. Stuart Mead, our talented chef, has a passion for creating exciting, imaginative British dishes with menus that change both daily and seasonally.
The reputation and size of our wine cellar has seen significant growth over the past few years and is able to offer a selection of nearly 200 wines and more than 20 champagnes.
