What time is check-in?
Check-in is from 3pm. We can prepare the room earlier if you require if a guest has not stayed in the room the night before, or the previous guests have checked out early. This is not guaranteed but we will do our best. Latest check- in time is Midnight and we ask to be informed.
What time is check-out?
Guests are asked to have checked out and vacated their room by 11am on the day of departure. Check out can be extended by an hour depending on other bookings. After noon £10 per hour will be charged.
Do you have parking?
We have spaces for seven cars at the back of the hotel that can be accessed by driving past the hotel, take the next right onto Queen Street, then right again onto Mayflower Mews and the right hand fork into Reeves Yard. Customers can also park on the High Street gaining access to the hotel through the alleyway to the left hand side of the hotel.
Do you take children?
We welcome children to stay. We also offer extra children’s beds at the price of £15 which includes breakfast. We also have a cot where the little ones can sleep at no additional charge. Well behaved children are allowed in the restaurant, we don’t really have a children’s menu as such, but are happy to do basic pasta dishes, Sausage & Mash etc or adapt the menu to a smaller portion.
Do you take dogs?
We do take dogs however in the rooms located in the courtyard at a charge of £15 per dog.
What is your dress code?
We do not have a strict dress code, but smart casual is preferred. Gentlemen should not wear vest t-shirts in the restaurant!
Do I need to reserve a table in the restaurant?
Reservations are advisable at the weekend.
What are your restaurant serving times?
Breakfast:
7:00am-9:30am Wednesday to Friday
8:00am-9.30am Saturday and Sunday

Lunch:
12.00pm-1.45pm Tuesday to Sunday

Dinner:
6.30 pm-8.45 pm Tuesday to Saturday

We do not open the restaurant on Mondays or Sunday Night. We do make exceptions for large private parties in the restaurant on Sunday nights who would also like to stay in the Hotel. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Do you accept wheelchairs?
We do accept wheelchairs in the restaurant using the front entrance. Unfortunately, due to the building being 350 years old and Grade II Listed, we are not able to cater for wheelchairs in the hotel and we do not have a toilet on the ground floor.
Do you offer room service?
Yes, room service is offered at the restaurant opening times. However, breakfast is served in the restaurant only.
Is there internet access within the hotel?
We have High speed fibre (Wi-Fi) internet access available throughout the hotel including the bar, rooms and lounge areas.
Is your hotel open 24-hours a day?
Our bar, restaurant and reception is NOT open 24 hours a day. The hotel is open throughout the day from 7:00 in the morning until the restaurant has closed in the evening and all the guests have check in.
The owners will answer the phone after hours in the event of an emergency.
Are you a non-smoking hotel?
All areas of the hotel and restaurant are designated as non-smoking. There will be a charge if guests are found smoking in the room.
Where does the name Lake Isle originate from?
Although we are only six miles from Rutland Water, the hotel is actually named from the poem ‘The Lake Isle of Innisfree’ by W B Yeats where he expresses sentiments of peace, relaxation and tranquillity.
